We have an incredible career opportunity to join a leading Real Estate and Land Development Company based in Florida as a Director of Permitting & Entitlements.
Our client’s impactful place-making and revitalizations across the state of Florida via master-planned vibrant mixed-use communities strategically incorporate a variety of residential, commercial, and highly amenitized elements and synergies within their award-winning developments.
This key real estate land entitlement and development professional can be located out of the Orlando or Jacksonville market and will have a heavy entitlement focus and priority to:
- Manage land development project design, permitting and entitlements utilizing a team of consultants.
- Identify and coordinate necessary permits, approvals, easements, agreements, applications, mitigation, propshares, etc.
- Run weekly design team calls with consultants to coordinate/drive progress and mitigate surprises.
- Manage relationships with county staff and regulatory agencies to proactively stay on schedule and address challenges.
- Assist with CDD establishment and bond offerings/sales.

Additional qualifications:
- Degree in civil engineering, planning, landscape architecture, construction management, real estate or related preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10+ years of site entitlement / planning / design / development management experience.
- Prior residential homebuilding, multi-family, commercial experience or residential engineering experience working with homebuilder, commercial, or land development clients is all relevant.
- Must be able to read and interpret grading plans, blueprints, civil plans, landscape plans, etc.
- Ability to plan, organize, manage, and supervise activities of consulting team.
- Good written and verbal skills, detail oriented with good follow-up and follow-thru skills, good people skills and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to take initiative, be a self-starter, and advocate for projects.
- Must be analytical, a strong communicator, have a sense of urgency and an ability to. communicate with various internal and external stakeholders and community members.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret due diligence reports, municipal code, and legal documents.
